3rd place of Espoo Junior Open!

Tänään oli aika ratkaista jokaisen kaavion sijoitukset. Minulla oli tänään 2 peliä, joista hävisin toisen 3-1 ja voitin toisen 3-1.
Ensimmäinen peli oli kaavion 1 sijoitettua vastaan, hävisin pelin 3-1 (erät 9-11,7-11,14-12,5-11). Pelasimme aika pitkiä palloja, mutta eiliset viiden erän ottelut painoivat hieman jaloissani. Kolmannen erän pelasin erittäin hyvin, olin ensin häviöllä 7-10, mutta pystyin silti nousemaan 14-12 erä voittoon. Tämä erä voitto jäi aika laihaksi lohduksi, koska hävisin neljännen erän. Häviö tarkoitti, että tipuin prossiotteluun.
Päivän toinen ottelu oli turnauksen viimeinen peli, eli pronssipeli. Pelasin kaavion 3/4 sijoittettua vastaan ja peli päättyi minun 3-1 voittoon (erät 11-5, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7). Peli sujui erittäin hyvin, pystyin hallitsemaan pelin kulkua, mikä toi minulle lopulta voiton.
Fiilis turnauksen jälkeen on erittäin hyvä, sain erittäin kovia turnauspelejä alle. Peleistä jäi päällimmäiseksi enemmän positiivista kuin negatiivista.

Today it was time to solve each draw standings. Today I had 2 game, which first I lost 3-1 and the second game I won 3-1.
The first game was a chart 1 invested in, I lost the match 3-1 (games 9-11,7-11,14-12,5-11). We played pretty long balls, but yesterday's five rounds of matches pushed a little bit in my legs. The third game I played very well, I was the first drop of 7-10, but I could still get the item 14-12 victory. This installment of victory was pretty skinny for her comfort, because I lost the fourth installment. Loss meant that I fell out to bronze game.
Today's second match was the last match of the tournament, a bronze game. I played against  3/4 seeded player, and the match ended 3-1 in my victory (games 11-5, 8-11, 11-5, 11-7). The game went very well, I was able to control the flow of the game, which brought victory to me in the end.

The feeling after the tournament is very good, I got a very tough tournament games below. The games remained on top more positive than negative.

Never give up on something what you want

Tänään minulla oli kolme peliä, joista hävisin kaksi ja voitin yhden.
Ensimmäinen peli oli Saana Valasmaa vastaan, ja ottelu päättyi tiukkaan 3-2 häviöön. (erät 11-13, 11-3, 11-7, 7-11, 10-12) Peli oli erittäin tiukkaa ja saimme jauhaa peliä yli tunnin ajan, ja peliin mahtui hieman erillaisia tapahtumia, niin hyviä kuin huonoja. Vaikka jouduin ryömimään aika monta kertaa lattiassa hakemassa palloja (onnistuin siinä aika hyvin :D), jaksoin taistella loppuun asti enkä luovuttanut aivan pienen väännön jälkeen.
Toisen pelin hävisin niin ikään tiukan väännön jälkeen 3-2. (erät 8-11 11-6, 11-4, 6-11, 11-13) Peli oli taas fyysisesti erittäin raskas, koska tämäkin venyi noin tunnin peliksi. Pallo kulki ihan hyvin ja meni suunnilleen minne piti, mutta siellä tuli myös muutama tyhmä virhe jotka koitui tämän pelin ratkaisijoiksi.
Kolmannen pelin voitin 3-1, nyt hieman lyhyemmän väännön kautta, vain noin 30 minuuttia. (erät 11-6, 4-11, 11-2, 11-6) Pelissä ohjasin suurimmaksi osaksi pelin kulkua, paitsi toisessa erässä ote hieman herpaantui ja lopulta päätyi aika rumiin lukemiin. Pystyin silti kokoamaan ajatukset uudestaan, ja sain hyvän loppu pelin aikaiseksi.
Päivän pelien jälkeen olin aivan varma, että en pääse pelaamaan korkeimmista sijoista. Mutta koska squash on arvaamaton laji, ja kolme eri henkilöä oli voittanut 1 pelin ja hävinnyt 2, jouduimme katsomaan kenellä on eniten voitettuja eriä. Lopulta minun kahdella 3-2 häviöllä ja yhdellä 3-1 voitolla, oli minulla eniten erä voittoja (7). Tämä tarkoittaa sitä, että huomenna taistelen sijoista 1-4.

Today I had three games in which I lost two and won one.
The first game was against Saana Valasma, and the match ended in a tight 3-2 loss. (Points 11-13, 11-3, 11-7, 7-11, 10-12) The game was very tight and we were able to grind the game for over an hour, and the game could accommodate a little bit like a dictionary of events, both good and bad. Even if I had to crawl on the floor quite a few times looking for the balls (I managed it quite well: D), periodicity fight until the end and I didn´t give up just after a small fight. I lost the second game, also a tight fight after the 3-2. (Points 8-11 11-6, 11-4, 6-11, 11-13) The game was again physically very heavy, because we played for about an hour. The ball went just fine and went about where you were supposed to, but there were also a few stupid mistake that benefited the game to my lost. I won the third game 3-1, now a little shorter fight through only about 30 minutes. (points 11-6, 4-11, 11-2, 11-6) was in control most of the game, gameplay, except for the second installment in an extract from a little to shatter and ultimately ended up pretty ugly figures. I was able to still collect the thoughts again, and I got the good end of the game done. After today's games, I was quite sure that I did not get to play the highest positions. But because the squash is unpredictable species, and three different people had won one game and lost two, we had to take a look at who has the most games won. At the end, my two lost 3-2 and 3-1 win, I had the most games win (7). This means that tomorrow the fight for positions 1-4.

Huomenna alkaa EJO!/ EJO starts tomorrow!

Kuten otsikkokin jo kertoi, huomenna siis alkaa EJO eli Espoo Junior Open. Tämä on ensimmäinen kerta kun EJO järjestetään, joten on hienoa että Suomeen saadaan uusi junioriturnaus! Espoo Junior Open on ottanut mallia Oulun vastaavasta Oulu Junior Openista eli pelit pelataan tasolohkoissa tytöt ja pojat sekaisin, eikä vain omassa ikäluokassa. Tämä käytäntö on minun ja monen muun mielestä parempi tapa järjestää junioriturnauksia, koska pelaajat saavat paljon kovempia pelejä. Luokat turnauksessa menevät Valio, A, B, C, D ja E, Valio on paras ja A-luokka seuraavaksi ja jne.
Huomenna aloitan pelit A-luokassa B-lohkossa, meitä on yhteensä pelaajia 8 ja alkupelit pelataan 4 pelaajan lohkoissa. Olen itse saanut rankkauksen 3/4, minun kanssa on samassa lohkossa luokan 2 sijoitettu ja kaksi muuta pelaajaa.
Seuraavat kaksi päivää tulee olemaan erittäin tiukkaa squashin pelaamista, ja toivon että turnaus sujuisi yhtä hyvin, kuin kauden avaus turnaus FJO.

As the title already told, tomorrow begins to Espoo Junior Open in Espoo, Finland . This is the first time that Espoo Junior Open is held, so it's great that Finland have a new junior tournament! Espoo Junior Open was taken example of Oulu, Junior Open, and that games are played at the level of skill for girls and boys messed up, and not only in their own age group. This practice has been for me and many others, a better way to organize the junior tournaments, as players get a lot tougher games. Categories in the tournament go to the Premier, A, B, C, D and E, the Premier is the best and the A-class and the next, etc..
Tomorrow I start games A-Class B-block, we have a total of 8 players and the first games are played in 4 player blocks. I actually received a 3/4 ranking on, with me in the same block placed in three other players.
The next two days will be very tough to play squash, and I hope that the tournament will ensure a smooth as well as the season opening tournament Finnish Junior Open.
We'll see what the weekend will bring.

Tyyntä myrskyn edellä/Calm before storm

Nyt nämä muutama viimeistä viikkoa on ollut hieman hiljaisempia, koska minulla ei ole ollut kilpailuita. Olen harjoitellut nyt hieman kovempaa ja tehnyt kuormittavimpia harjoituksia. Nyt on jo alkanut huomata, miten harjoittelu kertojen ja määrien lisääminen on vienyt erittäin paljon eteenpäin!
Mutta nyt on taas aika aloittaa viiden viikon tiukka kilpailu ja leiriputki, joka alkaa tänä viikonloppuna järjestettävänä U17 Suomen maajoukkueleirillä. Minulle maajoukkuekutsu oli ensimmäinen laatuaan ja odotan innolla, mitä uusia asioita maajoukkueleirit tuovat mukanaan!
Leirin jälkeen seuraavat neljä viikkoa on taas aika pelata tosissaan, kaksi kilpailua Suomessa ja kaksi ulkomailla.

Now, these last few weeks have been a little quieter, because I haven´t had competitions. Now, these last few weeks have been a little quieter, because I have not had competitions. I've been practicing a little bit harder and do longer exercises. Now,I have already begun to notice how training amounts lift takes you forward!
But now it is time to begin five weeks of intense competition and the camp tube, which begins this weekend in Finland U17 national team camp. For me, the national team invatation was first kind off and its honour to be invited to the national team!
After the camp the following four weeks is once again time to play seriously, two tournaments in Finland and two tournaments aboard.
